Usually, the only thing you can do to deal more damage with a Fireball or make Spell Turning last longer is to gain levels. This mod offers another option: the Red Soul kit grants a 50% bonus to all spell damage at the cost of cutting all spell durations in half; the Green Soul kit grants a 50% increase in spell duration at the cost of cutting spell damage in half.

The changed duration has no influence on "delayed" effects, which means Melf's Acid Arrow won't hit any faster or slower for a Red Soul or Green Soul. This can also interfere with Polymorph Self depending on your install.

Due to how the opcodes work, the change in spell duration only applies to mage spells, but the damage bonus or penalty will apply to any form of attack. Thus, a Red Soul who dual-classes to fighter will deal extra damage with the Club of Detonation, and a Green Soul who dual-classes to cleric will still cast Sanctuary with a duration of 10 rounds. Likewise, a Red Soul and Green Soul will deal different amounts of damage with the Wand of Fire, but Wands of Paralyzation will have the same duration.

Installation:

1. Unzip all files into your BG:EE, BG2:EE, or IWD:EE folder. If you have SoD, you will need to run ModMerge first.
2. Double-click on the Setup-RedSoulKit application.
3. The WeiDu window will pop up. Follow the prompt and WeiDu will install the kit on your game. This can also reinstall or uninstall the kit.
